A lovely weekend! More than 2,000 food and wine fans descended on St. Michaels and its environs for guest chefs, wine dinners, hundreds of wines to taste, cheeses, charcuterie, demonstrations and even teeny martinis. We met some great people, picked up cool tips and in general, celebrated food.

Local names including St. Michaels Winery, Salter's Gourmet, Firefly Farms' cheeses and Dragonfly Farm's varietal vinegars took their place next to our urban visitors.  Guests chefs Jeffrey Buben of D.C.'s Vidalia and Bistro Bis, and Cedric Maupillier of Central Michel Richard, among many others, demonstrated two fab dishes for the crowd -- Citrus-cured Salmon and Crabcakes with Leek Tartare, respectively.
